April 4, 2007: Tucker Carlson Celebri-spiraler?
I guess so, based on this remark:
"You can mock the New York Post, but let's face it, it is the leading edge in trends in the media" - Tucker Carlson on MSNBC.
I give him credit for saying it. It's not a high-brow comment to make. The intelligentsia will publicly sniff at him, but secretly stuff The Post under their arms as if hiding a dirty tabloid.
But what he says is the absolute truth. With the convergence of celebrity and the omnipresent and all-powerful Oz also known as "media," the New York Post regularly breaks news and is the content source, from which other media outlets borrow. Do you read it? Even if you don't, you read other things that leverage it.

I must say, in this instance I agree with TC. As a PR pro, Page Six is a bible for nightlife/enteratinment accounts and they all die to see their name there in boldface. And, make no mistake, Page Six is not your average tabloid rag...Page Six only reports the truth, which is more than CNN or Fox can say.
And Page Six FINDS the truth. I read it 'cause it comes out with stuff first.
Is anyone who can be considered part of the intelligensia even remotely aware of Tucker Carlson, much less of what he says about anything?
Let's all remember what David Sedaris said about men who wear bowties.
I just realized something...the only reason Tucker even mentioned The Post in hopes of getting his name on their pages thus raising interest in his crapfest show...what a ho...
Seriously, what IS his point? On TV, in life, just in general?
who is he?
